Set up in early 2012, City of Preston Cyclones have rapidly grown in both size and talent. We established COPCC to give young people in the local area the chance to take part in this fantastic sport that we love so much and we think can safely say that now many of our squad members absoutely love it too.

Cheerleading is no longer about waving poms poms and being on the sidelines, its about being centre stage and showing off skills such as stunting, jumping, dancing and tumbling. The old traditions are still there, chants, arms motions, hair bows and huge smiles; but there is now much more of a move towards it becoming recognised worldwide as an official sport due to the skill and strength needed to execute a routine.

Our training sessions are fun but there is always one goal in mind... to win! We train hard focusing on stretching for flexibility, conditioning for strong muscles, jumping techniques, dance routines, tumble passes and learning how to perform stunts cleanly and safely. We currently train to compete national events and hope to keep working up to higher levels, at the moment we have a Level 1 Junior squad and Level 2 & 3 Senior squads.

We train at City Of Preston Gymnastics & Performance Centre, who boast amazing facilities and coaches should you also want to further your gymnastics. We make full use of these facilities during sessions including a mirrored dance studio, sprung floor, foam pits, safety mats and more!

We are extremely proud of everything that this squad has acheived so far and if you want to become part of the COPCC family, visit our member page for more details or get in contact.
